Step into an experience where poise meets polish. Students learn how to carry themselves with assurance, communicate effectively, and navigate dining and social settings with ease—all through engaging lessons, fine dining practice, and guided activities.

The two days of etiquette training include fine dining etiquette luncheons and an afternoon tea. Certificate included.

We invite boys and girls ages 7–12 to join us for Poised & Polished | Children’s Etiquette Course. Surrounded by the elegance and charm of The Historic Morrison Clark Inn in downtown Washington, participants will learn essential skills for confidence, courtesy, and kindness. Young ladies and gentlemen will enjoy 3-course fine dining etiquette luncheons, as well as a delightful afternoon tea to celebrate the conclusion of their experience.

Dining Style:
Fine dining training based on French & British dining styles

Course Capacity:
To ensure a focused and engaging atmosphere, course capacity is limited. 

Course Participation:
The course welcomes both young men and young women, fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.

Course Frequency:
This course will be offered 3-4 times a year.

Dietary Accommodations:
Dietary restrictions and food allergies can be addressed during registration. Our esteemed host hotels are adept at accommodating such needs.

Mobile Phone Policy:
Participants may keep their phones to communicate with parents, but must be placed in a bag during training.

Afternoon Tea Venue:
The afternoon tea is elegantly served at the Henley Park Hotel, conveniently located across from the Morrison Clark Inn.

*Dress Code:

  • Day 1: Smart casual. Polo or collared shirt required for young men; casual skirt or dress encouraged for young ladies.
  • Day 2: Smart casual. Jacket encouraged for young men; casual skirt or dress encouraged for young ladies.
  • Loafers, polished sneakers, or other comfortable shoes are appropriate. A cardigan is recommended for those who may get chilly.

Mixing Dates:
Students must take the course over 2 consecutive days and may not mix or combine different course dates. 

Cancellations:
Upon registration, you agree to our cancellation flexible policy which allows for the transfer or the conversion of your paid registration into a credit for any future course within one year. See full policy.
