On Wednesday July, 24 2013 the Institute held its first Junior Diplomat Etiquette Lesson and Tea. The program is designed for students who have had at least one lesson with the Institute or with a need for advanced-level refinement.
The class took place at a beautiful private residence in Dupont Circle and included lessons on proper introductions, perfect posture and tea etiquette. The youths, after setting their own places enjoyed tea and macaroons and a birthday celebration also took place for one of our students, Dorian, who turned six that day!
Students were interviewed and filmed by BBC correspondent Thomas Sparrow for an upcoming segment on the needs of political families in Washington DC to obtain etiquette training for their children. (Please look out for upcoming film footage).
Special thanks to our families, Thomas Sparrow, BBC journalist and the ever gracious Teri Galvez for opening up her beautiful residence for the event.
